who we are
Pathways is a cohousing community. Cohousing communities are intentionally designed, with common spaces surrounded by private homes. Collaborative spaces typically include a common house with a large kitchen and dining room, laundry, and recreational areas and outdoor walkways, open space, gardens, and parking. Neighbors use these spaces to play together, cook for one another, share tools, and work collaboratively. Common property is managed and maintained by community members, providing even more opportunities for growing relationships. Learn more on cohousing.org
our homes
The houses are a mixture of single homes and duplex situated in three clusters in a clover leaf pattern around our Common House. We also have an athletic field, hiking trails, community garden, play structure and tree fort. While parking is convenient to all homes, the interior of our living space is car-free, providing a safe space for our children to grow and thrive. The layout of the homes balances individual privacy, with private backyards and the richness of community as our front porches face inwards toward the common spaces.
SUSTAINABILITY
We are committed to being good stewards of the land and environment at Pathways. Our homes were built to be energy efficient and many of them, including the Common House, are solar outfitted. We have ten electric car charging stations. Our gardens provide fruits and vegetables and are designed to be pollinator-friendly. We're adjacent to local bus stops and bike paths.
community
Being part of a cohousing community is all about living, working and playing together. From community meetings to potluck dinners to meditation groups to talent shows, we have many ways to come together.
In addition to social opportunities, we build community through shared work and accountability. All residents are required to join a committee and take on 4+ hours of community labor monthly, ranging from meeting attendance to building, land, and other maintenance.
